HB-49 "FLIGHT DECK OATH"
The wing flies. The deck crew runs the wing.
Flight deck work was the most dangerous routine job in the fleet. Aircraft, fuel, ordnance, jet wash, props, cables, and a deck that could be sixty feet shorter than the runway the same airframe used ashore. The crews ran by colour code, hand signal, and a discipline that did not allow for inattention. Most of the wing's working life was on the deck. The crew that kept it moving was the reason it stayed flying.
For those who understand that the work done before the visible action is what determines whether the action runs at all.
