Thirty thousand tonnes of armour plate and nine sixteen-inch guns. Battleships were built to absorb punishment and keep firing. The designs in this collection carry that same weight — blunt, unapologetic, and built to last longer than anything else in your wardrobe.

Two hundred feet under, with a hull of three-inch steel and a crew that lived in artificial light for months at a time. Submarines fought a different war; quieter, longer, lonelier; and won it through patience and engineering.
