Secure checkout through Shopify
August 1943, the Pacific. The F6F-3 carrier fighter first went into combat that month, and by 1944 it was the standard carrier-based fighter of the fleet. Simple and rugged by design, it carried six guns on a 42 ft 10 in span, and 12,275 of all models were built in about 30 months. Our own top-view drawing, with no markings.
Front print reads: 1943 · CARRIER FIGHTER · VIII·1943 · SPAN 42 FT 10 IN, with a top-view drawing of the aircraft.
