Secure checkout through Shopify
August 1943, the Pacific. The F6F-3 carrier fighter first went into combat that month, and by 1944 it was the standard carrier-based fighter of the fleet. Simple and rugged by design, it carried six guns on a 42 ft 10 in span, and 12,275 of all models were built in about 30 months. Our own top-view silhouette, with no markings.
Print reads: 1943, above a top-view silhouette of the aircraft, on both sides.
- 11 oz glossy ceramic mug, about 3.8 in (9.7 cm) tall × 3.3 in (8.3 cm) across
- Design printed on both sides, so it reads right in either hand
- White or black glaze
- Printed to order (sublimation): colours sit in the glaze, not on top of it
- Hand-wash recommended to keep the print at its best
- Facts checked against published sources
