1945, Europe. In early 1945 the late-model P-47D, with its bubble-top canopy and eight .50-calibre guns, was flying in western Europe, renowned for its ruggedness, firepower and speed. Our own solid side-view silhouette, embroidered, with no markings. Remembered by the year, not slogans.
