24 March 1944, Europe. A chin-turret B-17G based in England flew its first combat mission that day, part of the daylight campaign the type is best known for. Ten men to a crew, thirteen .50-calibre guns. Our own side-view silhouette, with no markings. Remembered by the date, not slogans.
Print reads: 1944 · IN DAYLIGHT · 24·III·1944, with a side-view silhouette of the aircraft, on both sides.
- 11 oz glossy ceramic mug, about 3.8 in (9.7 cm) tall × 3.3 in (8.3 cm) across
- Design printed on both sides, so it reads right in either hand
- White or black glaze
- Printed to order (sublimation): colours sit in the glaze, not on top of it
- Hand-wash recommended to keep the print at its best
- Facts checked against official sources
