HB-65 "CONNING TOWER"
A small pressure compartment between the main hull and the bridge. The attack centre when the boat is submerged.
The conning tower held the attack periscope, the torpedo data computer, and the small staff that ran an attack. The space was tight, the work was concentrated, and the language used inside it was clipped. An attack was a quiet conversation between the captain at the periscope and the men at the table. The whole boat below worked to the orders coming down from a room the size of a small bathroom.
For those who understand that the centre of decision in any system is usually a smaller room than people expect.
