What You May Pay
- Depending on your shipping country, your order may be subject to VAT/GST, import duties, and carrier handling fees
set by the destination country’s authorities. These amounts aren’t set or controlled by Harborborne.
- Where applicable, sales tax/VAT may be calculated at checkout; otherwise, local authorities or the carrier may collect on delivery.
How Duties and Taxes Are Assessed
- Assessment typically considers your order value, product category, and destination country rules. Customs (or the carrier acting on their behalf) determines the amount due.
- Unless checkout explicitly shows duties/taxes collected upfront for your market, these may be due upon import and collected by your carrier before delivery.
Will I See Duties/Taxes at Checkout?
- In some markets, required taxes or estimates may appear at checkout; in others, they are billed on import by local
authorities/carriers. We follow regional tax configuration and compliance practices; final assessment rests with customs.
International Deliveries, Refusals, and Returns
- If duties/taxes are due and not paid, carriers may return the parcel or mark it undeliverable.
- Duties/taxes paid to customs aren’t refundable by Harborborne. Product refunds follow our Returns & Warranty policy once items are received and approved; you may be responsible for return shipping and any carrier/customs charges.
Documentation and Support
- Your carrier or local customs authority can provide documentation (invoices, assessments) and payment instructions for any import fees.
- If something looks incorrect on a customs invoice, contact your carrier first; then reach out to Support with your order number and any documents.
