19 June 1944, the Philippine Sea. Carrier fighters flying protection over the fleet met four waves of attacks through the day; the F6F-3 was the standard fighter aboard. On the night of 20 June the carriers turned on their lights to guide their returning aircraft home. Our own side-view drawing, with no markings. Remembered by the date, not slogans.
Front print reads: 1944 · PHILIPPINE SEA · 19·VI·1944 · PACIFIC · CARRIER FIGHTER, with a side-view drawing of the aircraft.
